What would you write in a letter to your teen self?

I would write that things get better and everyone is scared and just trying to fit in. Stop being afraid of what could go wrong – it won’t stop bad things from happening. That things that are worth it take time and effort.

What’s your favorite sweet treat?

I absolutely love chocolate chip cookies. I try to enjoy at least one a day with a cup of a coffee.

Ideal summer vacation.

Spending time in Southern Portugal in the Algarve. There are several areas that have fantastic beaches and beautiful sanctuaries that make this area one of the best in Europe. I highly recommend it this holiday spot.

Favorite pizza toppings.

I really enjoy artisan pizza. My favorite consists of prosciutto, mozzarella cheese, arugula and balsamic reduction. It’s delicious.

Hunger Games or Twilight? Why?

I would have to say Hunger Games. I really enjoyed reading the series. It is a such a great page-turner thriller. I recommend it if you are looking for a exhilarating book series.

Join Theo, a young boy who, with the help of his teacher and classmates, is working to reduce the need for plastic use in day-to-day life. From grocery stores to restaurants, read along to see how plastic use can be minimized to help make a plastic-free world for you and me!

Ms. Cho says, “Oh this is great! Let’s hear some stories. Denise, why don’t you share your experience?”

Denise says, “My parents have stopped buying bottled water, we are going to only use compostable dog waste bags and start a compost at home!”
